Instructions

  • Bake the chocolate cake according to the package directions.
  • Allow it to cool before crumbling it into a large mixing bowl.
  • With a spatula, combine the sweetened condensed milk and unsalted butter in a mixing bowl.
  • Roll small portions of the mixture into balls about the size of a golf ball.
  • Refrigerate the balls for 30 minutes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Melt the chocolate chips and vegetable oil in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second increments, stirring in between, until smooth.
  • Insert the cake pop sticks into the cake balls after dipping them in the melted chocolate.
  • Dip the cake balls into the melted chocolate, coating them completely.
  • A spoon can be used to help you coat them evenly.
  • Return the cake pops to the parchment-lined baking sheet and chill for 30 minutes, or until the chocolate has hardened.
