Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Using the oil, water, and eggs, prepare the cake mix according to the package directions.
  • Add the chocolate chips and mix well.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean, in a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Allow the cake to cool completely before serving.
  • Whisk together the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a medium mixing bowl until smooth.
  • In a large mixing bowl, crumble the cooled cake.
  • Mix the crumbled cake with the frosting until well combined.
  • Make small balls out of the mixture and insert a lollipop stick into each one.
  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or until the cake pops are firm.
  • Melt the chocolate chips in a double boiler or in a microwave-safe bowl.
  • Dip each cake pop in melted chocolate and sprinkle with sprinkles.
  • Allow the chocolate to harden before placing the cake pops on a baking sheet lined with wax paper.
  • Serve and have fun.
