These individually wrapped cake pops are ideal for any occasion as party favours or gifts. Customize the flavor of the cake and frosting, as well as the color of the candy melts, to match the theme of your event.

Ingredients

  • 30 transparent treat bags
  • 30 lollipops
  • Twist ties in the number of 30
  • 1 package candy melts (any flavor)
  • 1 can of frosting, any flavor
  • 1 box cake mix (any flavor)

Time Needed

  • Prep Time: 45 minutes
  • Cook Time: 30 minutes
  • Total Time: 1 hour, 15 minutes

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to the temperature specified on the cake mix package.
  • To make the cake batter, follow the directions on the cake mix box.
  • Bake the cake according to the package directions and let it cool completely.
  • Crumble the cake into a large mixing bowl and fold in the frosting until well combined.
  • Roll the mixture into 30 balls of equal size and insert a lollipop stick into each one.
  • Freeze the cake pops for 15 minutes to firm them up.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the candy melts according to the package directions.
  • Allow the excess candy melts to drip off each cake pop before dipping it into the melted candy melts.
  • Set the cake pops aside to dry in a foam block.
  • Place each cake pop in a clear treat bag and tie with a twist tie once the candy coating has hardened.
