These orange cake pops with fresh mint are a delectable and entertaining treat that are ideal for any occasion. The citrus and mint combination is refreshing and adds a unique twist to traditional cake pops.

  • Prep Time: 45 minutes
  • Cook Time: 30 minutes
  • Total Time: 1 hour, 15 minutes

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Prepare the cake mix according to the package directions, but substitute orange juice for the water and add chopped mint.
  • 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.
  • Allow the cake to cool completely.
  • In a large mixing bowl, crumble the cake and stir in 1/2 cup of the frosting until well combined.
  • Make 12 balls out of the mixture and insert a lollipop stick into each one.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the orange candy melts and vegetable shortening, stirring every 30 seconds, until smooth.
  • Dip each cake ball in the melted candy and sprinkle with orange and green sprinkles to finish.
  • Allow the cake pops to cool on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper until the candy coating hardens.
  • Serve and have fun.
